Privileges of an Airline Transport Pilot Licence:

  • Entitles you to be pilot in command of complex aircraft
  • May act as pilot or co-pilot in commercial air transport operations
  • Opens many exciting career opportunity’s

  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Valid class 1 medical certificate
  • Valid CPL with Instrument Rating

Pass the following theoretical examinations as per SA CAA:
  • Engines and Airframes
  • Meteorology
  • Flight Planning
  • Navigation
  • Radio Aids
  • Instruments

  • 1500 hours total flight time
  • 250 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC)
  • 200 hours cross-country flight time
  • 75 hours instrument flight time
  • 100 hours night PIC time
  • Pass the ATPL flight test in a multi-engine aircraft as per SA CAA
